Jugglers aren’t boring

Chris Marley
A brand new act, Chris is a highly trained expert juggler and loves sharing and discovering new ideas. Many of which are connected by his interest in Yo-Yo, juggling, circus, skeptical thinking and performance.

He has set a few records juggling (yet to be beaten). Arron performs in lots of different shows all over the place, suitable for different party venues and occasions. Arron is sure to be a crowd pleaser for any occasion.

Jason Maverick
When you think of booking a juggler for your event, you’re probably thinking of something very similar to Jason Maverick. Able to juggle with a whole host of props from juggling balls to cubes you’re sure to be impressed by his ability! Having trained at the National Centre of Circus Arts, you can be safe in the knowledge that you have booked a true master for your event. A gentleman juggler with a contemporary twist, you can’t go wrong with Jason

Crystal Wizard
What do you get if you combine an acrobat with a juggler? As you might expect, the result is the wonderfully named Crystal Wizard, using LED lights and crystals to wow and entertain your guests with a juggling light display. A clever act which will amaze.

Contact jugglers
A little bit different to juggling in the traditional sense of the word, contact jugglers have an incredible ability to make balls apparently levitate in the air. Well, not ‘levitate’ exactly, but making it appears as though a silver ball or two has a weightless quality. Very difficult to describe but just as hard to ever forget, hiring a contact juggler is one of the finest decision an event planner can make if they want an unforgettable experience for their guests!

Circus Entertainment

When one thinks of circus entertainment, their mind often jumps to images of the big top, trapeze artists flowing to and fro and a unicyclist traversing a high wire. In short, not the kind of entertainment that you can book at most events. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Circus entertainment can fit pretty much anywhere, you just have to be careful which acts you go for. With that in mind, here are five forms of circus entertainment for intimate surroundings.

Hard Shoulder
A form of acrobalance, David and Jamie are a world class duo that pull off amazing feats of strength that have to be seen to be believed. They have travelled all over the world with their act, a superbly choreographed and intimate showcase of dynamic lifts and powerful balances. Set to a stunning soundtrack that captivates guests of all ages, they are a great choice for any event with their passion and intensity shining through.

Chris Marley
Juggling is one of those forms of entertainment that is synonymous with the circus. Not only can Chris juggle balls, but he can also toss bowling pins, blocks and many other props besides. What makes him so special? An ability to also perform many acrobatic feats as well.

Dangerous Productions
The beauty of fire performers is that ordinarily they can perform alone or as a troupe, needing only to light a couple of props to make for a stunning performance, especially as daylight disappears. You might be thinking that fire performers can only do their act outside, but Dangerous Productions use special chemicals to ensure that they can astound guests inside as well! A breath-taking and timeless form of entertainment for any event.

Hula Boy
We love a good hula show; there’s something absolutely mesmerising about the art form that has to be seen to be believed. Sure, we can also hula hoop around the waist for all of three seconds but Hula Boy bring together 10, 20, 30, 40 hoops all swinging in unison. Variants of the form abound with some involving LEDs and others even implementing a quick change effect whilst they spin. An incredible act to witness live.

Who doesn’t love a juggler?

Spark Fire Dance

What do you get if you combine acrobats with jugglers? As you might expect, the result is the wonderfully named Spark Fire dance, a pair of party entertainers who combine their sporty and athletic nature with the art of juggling. Juggling fire at one another a few metres apart to managing to swap when one person is on the other’s shoulders, there is nothing these circus performers can’t do!

Arron Sparks

A brand new act, Arron loves sharing and discovering new ideas.

Lets run away with the circus

Back in the day, ‘running away to join the circus’ seemed to be a pretty viable career option for many a young person if children’s books were to go by. Enid Blyton wrote a whole series of books on the idea and the circus segment in Big Fish is certainly one of the most memorable. But what if you want to join a circus now? How on earth do you go about joining a circus and becoming an acrobat or unicyclist or something else entirely? How do you do that? Well, you’ll have to learn and we know a brilliant place for that!

The National Centre for Circus Arts is one of the leading European providers of circus education. What’s more, it’s based in London! Hooray! You don’t even have to go abroad to enjoy its facilities. A registered charity, the Centre is housed in a fabulous Victorian power station meaning no matter how high-flying you want your act to be, you’ll definitely be able to learn it! From aerial silk to hoop and perhaps even walking a tight rope, you’ll be able to become a circus performer with the help of numerous teachers and students alike.

Depending on your age, there’s a whole host of options to consider as well. If you’re looking to attain a degree in Circus Arts, then the Centre offers a BA Hons degree in the subject. You’re also able to learn as part of a training programme if you’re under 18 whilst there are many development opportunities for those just starting out right through to those who simply want to enhance their already established circus careers. That’s right! As an aspiring circus performer, you’ll be able to rub shoulders with those who have already experienced the excitement of wowing a crowd at events up and down the country!

You might be thinking that signing up for an entire course isn’t really your thing. You might be unsure if the circus is truly for you. I mean sure you’ve thought about joining the circus for a while but the real thing might be completely different to how you’ve imagined it. Can’t you just dip your toe in? Have a bit of taster session? Of course you can! There are a range of recreational classes available for both adults and children alike, whilst the National Centre for Circus Arts also provides workshops and away days for corporate clients.

Running away to the circus might not really be a viable way to become a circus performer in the UK these days, so the National Centre for Circus Arts provides that opportunity for those looking to give circus ago. Work on all things equilibristic, acrobatic and aerial and we suspect you’ll become a circus performer in no time. Many circus acts trained in London so we know just how good they are! So what are you waiting for? Get down to Hoxton as soon as possible and see just how you can accomplish your dream of joining the circus, impressing at the Olympics and performing at parties all over the world!

Good old fashioned jugglers

Who doesn’t love a juggler? We’d all like to be good at juggling but unfortunately, some of us just aren’t very coordinated with our limbs. The balls go up, you’ll manage to catch two and the third will undoubtedly hit the ground. Want another go? Rather than your ability increasing, it’ll be the number of juggling balls on the ground. How do they do it? Thankfully, we don’t need to know because we can hire professional jugglers for parties and events and that’s where this blog comes in because amazingly, there are a whole host of different types of juggling entertainment.

Acro-Jugglers

What do you get if you combine acrobats with jugglers? As you might expect, the result is the wonderfully named Acro-Jugglers, a pair of entertainers who combine their sporty and athletic nature with the art of juggling. From juggling pins at one another a few metres apart to managing to swap juggling balls when one person is on the other’s shoulders, there is nothing these circus performers can’t do!

LED jugglers

LED jugglers combine the brilliance of juggling with the mesmerising beauty of LEDs! Available in a whole host of colours including a variety of shapes, patterns and even your company logo, you are sure to be impressed by this stunning walkabout act. Also available as a choreographed stage routine or static installation, up to 6 specialist performers are available and clients are given a choice of costuming to suit individual events.

Burlesque juggler

Burlesque juggler is inspired by the legendary actress Marlene Dietrich, a 1920-inspired act that will stun all audience members.

For those hosting a Great Gatsby-inspired corporate party or events with a vintage theme. A wonderful experience for those who love film nor or if you’re looking for something a little different. Not sure on the vintage look? This act is also available without the theming!

The Tobacco Dock venue

When you book a venue like the Tobacco Dock, a grade I listed warehouse from 1811, it’s good if you know how to fill it. It’s a brilliant blank canvas for corporate events and private parties but it’s also quite large, so this is the sort of space that not only benefits from more than one piece of entertainment but also by making sure that the acts are mobile. At a large event or party, many might end up at the back of the room far away from the entertainment and not always able to move closer. When you hire walkabout artists however, the fun comes to you!

When you think of Covent Garden, you will think of two things – the world famous market and the litany of entertainment acts who draw huge crowds.

When one thinks of London, they might think of the Pearly Kings and Queens. Why not hire some walkabout artists – one King and one Queen – in complete costume to wow the crowd. Not only can they sing a few songs, they are available to meet and greet guests.

Covent Garden isn’t just about music though. You will find comedy acts, dancers and acrobats that you will find a fair number on pretty much all high streets of the UK. London and Covent Garden are no different and we think you’ll agree that that any performers you hire from Red Masque will be second to none!

Finally you might think of magicians and circus performances drawing huge crowds of tourists. Their combination of acrobatics and juggling is filled with energy and dynamism will have guests breaking out in smiles. It will be truly a fantastic event and we urge anybody holding a party or evening this year to ponder going with a Covent Garden theme.

Does your business need promotion?

Many businesses now enjoy and thrive off shop promotion. Whether it’s opening the shop for the first time or your first year anniversary shop promotions can attract new customers and keep existing customers. It can also help increase sales which is probably the most positive factor of all businesses. Shop promotion entertainment can help with every of these aspects… if done properly.
Shops always have the same monotonous music playing in the background so why not switch it up a bit and hire a DJ. The public will hear different music and will also experience first-hand a DJ playing live in a shop, now that’s not something you see every day. Get the DJ to play various styles of music to attract different types of customers but also make sure it suits your shop. If you have a unique boutique then trance music would not exactly match the surroundings. Your shop will have that wow factor compared to others around it so it is definitely worth a try!

Street performers are a great idea to entice people of the street and into your shop. The performers will attract attention to the facade of the shop and can even hand out leaflets to the public. Once your street performer starts performing and letting everybody know about the shop, then how can the customers resist not going in for a little look. Various street performers could include acrobats, stilt walkers, fire performers, dancers and even musicians. This is a very cost effective way to add excitement and positive chit chat around your shop.

Food is well known to be the way to anybody’s heart. So why not have some sort of unique catering outside your shop to attract customers to your front doors. A few ideas which are very simple yet very effective include hiring a fish and chip van for the day. It could be packaged in a traditional box with your brand on it, so when your customers sit down to enjoy their food they are reminding on your company. During the summer months you could hire an ice cream van or cart and if they spend a certain amount in shop then on their exit they get an ice cream. It may be a simple idea but this can be very effective. To finish up, your shop just needs to be jazzed up a bit. Make it fun and intriguing and do your research. As I said before, don’t hire entertainment which doesn’t match your shops style. And shop around and hire local artists of possible, this will reflect very positively on your shop.

Inspirational Red Masque

What’s the one thing you remember about a great party, above all else? As a guest, you’re there to have a good time. And if it’s a good time you want your own guests to have, then you need to put a little thought into the party entertainment.

Gone are the days when you had to book a one-man DJ to play 70s floor-fillers all night. Now, you can find entertainment that keeps your diverse range of wedding guests happy, making the party start with a bang.

We at Red Masque entertainment have a limitless amount of options and inspiration. But what if you don’t have the time, will power or experience to trawl through the 17,500 female solo singers that Google throws up? Well, then it’s time to call in the professionals. And that’s where an entertainment directory can come in handy.

If you’re in the process of planning something big, using an entertainment directory uses only the best out there that are reputable and highly acclaimed

The best musicians aren’t necessarily the best hype men; the most amazing magician won’t necessarily be the best web designer – one of the changes in corporate entertainment since the internet has been the focus on promo material rather than word of mouth or reputation. That means the bands with the flashiest websites and the slickest videos often get more attention than their less media savvy counterparts. Consequently, there are plenty of hidden gems out there who, instead of improving their Search Engine Optimisation or video editing techniques, have focused on just being great performers.

We, like many entertainment directory’s, make it our business to know as much about our entertainment as possible. by reading up on new performers and much more. We know the best act for your event and 5 equally brilliant alternatives if the first choice isn’t available.

It just goes to show there’s only so far your own web searches will take you. If you want something a bit different, something to appeal to all the ages and tastes of your guests, something to get your party started as it means to go on, Red Masque is definitely a good way to avoid a headache. After all, it’s your party too.

Think outside the box…

So you’re planning an event and you want to go beyond the run-of-the-mill DJ or band and give your guests a unique experience that they will remember for a long time. Here are 7 ideas for the best party and event entertainment that are sure to be memorable:

1. Hire a caricature artist. These artists will paint portraits of your guests so that they have something to take home with them from your event. Great for small intimate events and they can fit into a networking event without distracting anyone.

2. Sushi rolling is something outside of most people’s comfort zone, which might be exactly what you’re after. Hire a sushi chef or two to instruct your guests on how to create the perfect Rainbow Roll.

3. Hire a professional “toastmaster”. This is someone who makes a career out of coming up with the perfect things to say to celebrate your guests and your event. A good toast master will do his research and find out things about honoured guests or your company and come up with a story (a long toast) that is uplifting, funny and entertaining. If he or she is really good they might be versed in the art of Champagne Sabrage, or slicing the cork off a Champagne bottle with a sabre

4. Have a go kart tournament complete with qualifying, elimination and championship races followed by an Awards Ceremony. .

5. Have a mixologist come in and teach your guests how to make the perfect cocktails, or help them come up with their own cocktails. Lychee-pepper martini anyone?

6. Create a master chef competition where there are teams, each with a professional chef leading them. All teams are given the same ingredients and must create a dish, or a meal. You can have a prominent local celebrity chef to judge for the best presentation and taste.

7. Japanese Tea Ceremony led by a Japanese tea master. These can include a history of the ceremony followed by sharing tea. Just the fact that everyone will be kneeling on the floor around a small table will break the ice, and people will naturally want to talk to each other as typical Western social conventions are set aside.

There are many ideas to choose from, if we have inspired you, why not look on our advertised artists to see who you will hire next?
