The Greatest Show

The Greatest Showman is undoubtedly the hit of the year so far with a soundtrack that has broken records for its longevity in the chart. People just cannot get enough of The Greatest Showman. With this in mind, we thought it might be good to offer a few entertainment options for a themed event that focuses around the film. That’s right, prepare yourself for some truly excellent Greatest Showman party ideas!

Ringmaster (Costume)

How can you be The Greatest Showman? Party ideas should obviously begin with you or someone else becoming Hugh Jackman for the evening. Book a Ringmaster costume to get things going in the right direction. If you don’t have a huge budget then this is the one circus entertainment prop you absolutely have to spring for because in truth, imagination and some top dance moves might be able to do the rest!

Dancers

You have a few friends that want to learn some of the key dance moves from the film. You don’t really want to have to trawl YouTube and pause every seconds to learn the main movements. What can you do? Book dancers of course! Yes, our trained professionals can choreograph winning sequences that are sure to impress everybody at your Greatest Showman event. Looking for some guests to get involved? That shouldn’t be a problem either. Party ideas don’t get much better than this!

Acrobats

At its heart, The Greatest Showman is a painting of Barnum and his invention of the circus. You might not be able to book aerial silk dancers, bearded ladies or Zac Efron but what you can do is book acrobats for your event. The Greatest Showman theme lends itself to the opportunity for you to call it The Greatest Party. So book circus performers and watch the wide-eyed wonder of guests take over.

A Cappella Choir

The highlight of your event should clearly be a flash mob style dance that comes together in the centre of the venue, which has been transformed into a circus ring, and everybody singing ‘This Is Me’ at the top of their lungs whilst two trapeze artists swing above.

At the very least, a sing-through of ‘This Is Me’ by a cappella collective Belt Up will definitely bring the house down.

Game of Thrones

Tourists love London. And who can blame them when we have a building on the north bank of the River Thames which goes by the full title of Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress of the Tower of London.

What if you wanted to have your very own ‘Game of Thrones’ game and wanted a little medieval entertainment to tie in with the theme of your corporate event? Strictly speaking, the fantasy epic isn’t set within the medieval world but strangely enough, Westeros entertainment isn’t really a thing unless you count the cutting of heads and gruesome events like the red wedding.

Why not hire some utterly brilliant circus entertainment for parties in the form of a few acrobats, who are dressed as court jesters for the duration of the event? Such a sight is truly a marvel to behold – jesters in the Tower of London in 2018!? – which will go down an absolute storm no doubt, or how about a similarly dressed contact juggler entranced those who watch. There’s something mystical about a contact juggler and the way their act works. They’re truly impressive to watch and highly recommended if you’re on the search for unique entertainment.

Don’t stop there, why not hire some musicians, classical would be more apt dressed in traditional Game of Thrones dress. Lastly, but by no means least you could provide a fortune teller because whether you’re a Stark or a Lannister, it’d be pretty great to know what was coming.

If you fancy hiring the Tower of London for a corporate event or if you are interested in medieval Game of Thrones entertainment or something completely different then be sure to look around our website to get some more ideas!!

Circus Entertainment

When one thinks of circus entertainment, their mind often jumps to images of the big top, trapeze artists flowing to and fro and a unicyclist traversing a high wire. In short, not the kind of entertainment that you can book at most events. But it doesn’t have to be that way! Circus entertainment can fit pretty much anywhere, you just have to be careful which acts you go for. With that in mind, here are five forms of circus entertainment for intimate surroundings.

Hard Shoulder
A form of acrobalance, David and Jamie are a world class duo that pull off amazing feats of strength that have to be seen to be believed. They have travelled all over the world with their act, a superbly choreographed and intimate showcase of dynamic lifts and powerful balances. Set to a stunning soundtrack that captivates guests of all ages, they are a great choice for any event with their passion and intensity shining through.

Chris Marley
Juggling is one of those forms of entertainment that is synonymous with the circus. Not only can Chris juggle balls, but he can also toss bowling pins, blocks and many other props besides. What makes him so special? An ability to also perform many acrobatic feats as well.

Dangerous Productions
The beauty of fire performers is that ordinarily they can perform alone or as a troupe, needing only to light a couple of props to make for a stunning performance, especially as daylight disappears. You might be thinking that fire performers can only do their act outside, but Dangerous Productions use special chemicals to ensure that they can astound guests inside as well! A breath-taking and timeless form of entertainment for any event.

Hula Boy
We love a good hula show; there’s something absolutely mesmerising about the art form that has to be seen to be believed. Sure, we can also hula hoop around the waist for all of three seconds but Hula Boy bring together 10, 20, 30, 40 hoops all swinging in unison. Variants of the form abound with some involving LEDs and others even implementing a quick change effect whilst they spin. An incredible act to witness live.

Events for 2018

High Impact Stage Shows
Gather your guests for bespoke shows that dazzle your guests with skill and spectacle from start to finish.

Aerial artists create intricate patterns above the stage, fusing circus skills and ballet in a show that’s beautiful and breathtaking. Add in 3D projection, and you have something quite astounding; aerial acrobatics in an ever-changing landscape of light that responds to their moves with split-second precision.

– Dazzle your guests with your own custom-made light show, showcasing a whole variety of high tech acts, from the intricate patterns of LED light shows to the primeval appear of jets of flame and sparks of fire and glow performers.

– Project the ever-shifting creations of iPad artists, sand artists or silhouette artists, accompanied by acts that literally shine, such as the unique Swarovski Violinists, who play electric gold violins encrusted with jewels. Or combine lasers and violins with our Laser Violin Show, choreographing lasers, smoke hazes and even audience interaction.

– There’s no doubt about it, tech is here to stay and is looking to proliferate across the industry. We’ve already seen it in some instances; those attending various conferences have been given a barcode with their name imprinted on it upon entry and any stall whom you choose to engage with will almost certainly scan the code to add your information to their database. It’s quick and easy and these technologies are set to continue if the recent CES conference in the US is anything to go by.

Pretty much every item you use in your home is being connected to the internet in some form, so you can rest assured that before too long, there’ll be numerous new ways to interact at events. As for the entertainment, well last year there was a rise in drone use during performances – including one that garnered a lot of praise on Britain’s Got Talent.

– It makes sense that with the economic outlook uncertain, individuals and companies would get creative in order to receive the most bang for their buck. Whether this means creating their own act to best symbolise their business rather than hiring entertainment on the fly, or theming a party to make sure that it is as memorable as possible, creativity is the order of the day!

– Costumed Characters and various acts that be personalised to attendees. One final thing, don’t go for a tired theme – try and think of something you haven’t heard before and we guarantee that the event planners involved will be just as excited as you about your party!

A party that caters for all

When it comes to organising a Christmas party, you want something that caters to all. Some will absolutely love the holiday season whilst a select few would rather it never arrived at all. Ensuring that you cater to every Christmas elf as well as to the Scrooge in your office can be a tricky balancing act but if you hire the best entertainment for Christmas parties, then you shouldn’t go too far wrong. Here are a few choice suggestions across numerous key entertainment genres!

Music Acts
What’s a party without a music? Well, it might be an event but it certainly won’t be a party. With this in mind, you have two options. Booking a function band for a Christmas party is a low-risk option because bands tend to play three sets over the course of your event. Any band worth their salt will be able to play a Christmas set once December arrives, or you could ask them to intersperse the pop and rock classics with an occasional hit from Slade’s back catalogue. Another approach is of course to go with a choir. Christmas carollers are ‘back in vogue’ this year and although you might not want to hear O Come, All Ye Faithful for the umpteenth time, there will undoubtedly be Christmassy renditions of more modern festive hits. Doing the party on a budget? A Christmas DJ is also a hugely entertaining option.

Dance Acts
When one thinks of dance at Christmas, it’s often a Winter Wonderland-inspired ballet, perhaps from Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker or Swan Lake. This truly is a beautiful form of entertainment that isn’t too Christmassy for those who’d prefer to stay in during the holiday season! Another stunning idea for booking a Christmas dance is to simply provide Christmas costumes for professional dancers. Whether you’re after Jack Frost or one of Santa’s elves, there are many ideas that could work together to create the ultimate Christmas party! Add in some fake snow and a few festive tunes and you have a Christmas party to remember!

Circus Acts
You might not immediately think of hiring circus entertainment when looking into hiring acts for your Christmas party, but these are fabulous acts to bear in mind. If you’re wanting to turn heads when guests first arrive, there are a whole host of Christmas themed stilt walkers available to hire. Whether you’re wanting a Snow Queen on stilts or even reindeer stilt walkers , there’s sure to be something that will fit in perfectly with the party you’re envisaging. This truly is one of the best pieces of entertainment for Christmas parties that has been extremely popular over the last few years so get in quick!
Ultimately, there are a variety of superb acts that are sure to fit in at your Christmas party so if you’re looking to make it the best ever, then make your choice from the entertainment acts on Red Masque and celebrate Christmas in style!

Who doesn’t love a juggler?

Spark Fire Dance

What do you get if you combine acrobats with jugglers? As you might expect, the result is the wonderfully named Spark Fire dance, a pair of party entertainers who combine their sporty and athletic nature with the art of juggling. Juggling fire at one another a few metres apart to managing to swap when one person is on the other’s shoulders, there is nothing these circus performers can’t do!

Arron Sparks

A brand new act, Arron loves sharing and discovering new ideas. Many of which are connected by his interest in Yo-Yo, juggling, circus, skeptical thinking and performance.

He has set a few records juggling (yet to be beaten). Arron performs in lots of different shows all over the place, suitable for different party venues and occasions. Arron is sure to be a crowd pleaser for any occasion.

Chris Marley

When you think of booking a juggler for your event, you’re probably thinking of something very similar to Chris Marley. Able to juggle with a whole host of props from juggling balls to cubes and axes, you’re sure to be impressed by his ability! Having trained at the National Centre of Circus Arts, you can be safe in the knowledge that you have booked a true master for your event. A gentleman juggler with a contemporary twist, you can’t go wrong with Chris!

Contact jugglers

A little bit different to juggling in the traditional sense of the word, contact jugglers have an incredible ability to make balls apparently levitate in the air. Well, not ‘levitate’ exactly, but making it appears as though a silver ball or two has a weightless quality. Very difficult to describe but just as hard to ever forget, hiring a juggler is one of the finest decision an event planner can make if they want an unforgettable experience for their guests!
