About

The Berkeley Trio was formed by Edward Morton (violin), Sarah Blundell (viola) and Diana Bailey (cello) . The members of the Berkeley Trio are based in Kent and Surrey, and they perform regularly in London and the South East. 

 
Edward Morton took up the violin at the age of four under the tutilage of Teddy Bor and later continued his studies at the Royal College of Music, London. He studied with various professors including Christopher Warren Green and Hugh Bean. He was a founding member of the Parke Ensemble, a contemporary music group based in London. He now performs exclusively with The Berkeley Trio.


Sarah Blundell studied the viola at the Royal College of Music and The University of Surrey prior to a period of  training in performance at Goldsmiths College, University of London. Her viola professors included Eileen Engelbrecht, William Padel and Roger Best. Following extensive performance of chamber music with both small and large ensembles, she now devotes her energies to performance with The Berkeley Trio.


Diana Bailey studied the cello at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London where her professors included Stefan Popov and Raphael Wallfisch. Her studies included extensive training in chamber music under the direction of Gordon Back and Paul Berkowitz with whom she specialised in piano trio performance. As well as working with the Berkeley Trio she is also an accomplished pianist and clarinettist. 

Working With You

We pride ourselves on our personal service from your initial enquiry to the day itself. We can advise on music for the ceremony if necessary and accompany a singer or your hymns. We can also entertain in most settings, inside or out.
 

Presentation
 

We have various images and suit our dress to the formality of the occasion. We take care to liaise with staff at your venue to ensure a superb presentation. Many people have commented on our professional and versatile approach.
 

Your Favourite Music
 

Although many people prefer to leave the choice of music to our own experience and judgement, we will always try to include the music you want. If you have a particular favourite that is not in our repertoire, we are happy to arrange it for you (given a couple of weeks' notice!). There is no extra charge for this service.


We aim to provide the perfect musical enhancement to entertain you and your guests. We perform a wide range of music from classical favourites through to popular tunes from West End shows, including a large selection of popular songs from the 1920s to present day.
