Manor House Music consists of some of the UK’s finest wedding musicians, having performed for over 700 weddings, corporate events and private functions as a string quartet and string duo. We combine a high quality of musical performance with a large repertoire of dynamic arrangements and a desire to work closely with clients to ensure that every detail is just right for your event.


The group offer a vast range of music suitable for most types of wedding entertainment. Our rock and pop music for string quartet and duo has amazed guests with its sheer power and rhythmic intricacy, bringing alive many of the greatest hits of the last six decades or so. We are equally at home in sets of jazz and light music, film and T.V. favourites, through to folk, traditional Jewish and even Viennese music. We also provide a service where a special piece of music can be arranged specifically for your occasion.


We realise that every wedding day is unique and that each one will require special musical planning. Some couples favour a more ‘hands on’ approach, selecting each individual piece of music to be performed, whilst others are happy for us to put together a programme of music to suit their needs. Whichever approach you prefer, clients can be assured of a high standard of musicianship, making the music a memorable feature of your special day, from the bridal entrance music through to the wedding breakfast.


As well as performing as a wedding string quartet, the group also provide a string duo - ideal for clients seeking a more affordable option whilst retaining a high level of performance. We offer a 250-strong selection of music, all of which sounds surprisingly full, capturing the essence of each piece perfectly.


Although we are a Buckinghamshire string quartet and duo, we regularly travel to play for weddings throughout the Home Counties, the South East of England, London and the Midlands, providing music for wedding venues in Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire, Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Essex, London, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Berkshire, Surrey, Hampshire, East Sussex, West Sussex, Kent, Suffolk, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, Warwickshire and Leicestershire.

Our string duo starts from £360 for two hours of playing and the cost of a string quartet starts from £630, again for a two hour booking. We are also able to spread our playing over a greater period of time (such as 2 hours playing spread over 3 hours), which is ideal in situations where continuous music isn't required. This is charged at an additional £20 an hour for the duo and £40 an hour for the quartet.
